Mathematical modelling

Home

I am a PhD student at the Theory Department of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology. My background is in applied mathematics. Mathematical models are a great tool to deepen our understanding of mechanisms underlying certain phenomena. Our models are based on oberservations from experimental Ecology and Evolution. My personal focus is the field of host-parasite dynamics. The mixture of mathematics and biology and the interdisciplinary team creates an inspiring working atmosphere where different views and critiques come together.
