Benjamin Werner
Welcome to my personal homepage. I am currently a post-doc in the Research group for Evolutionary Theory in the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology in the small but beautiful german town Plön.
I just recently graduated and worked during my phd on different aspects of theoretical cell population dynamics, mostly related to medical problems. I am in general interested in designing and analyzing theoretical models with a biological/medical or physical motivation. Currently I am working on problems in cancer cell populations, specially on effects of hierarchical tissue organization, resistance evolution to cancer drugs and the dynamics of telomeres and what this can potentially tell us about stem cell properties.
