Hi,

I am Marvin, postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology. My main interest lies in modeling of complex systems, especially in the realm of living things like humans, cells, bacteria, or viruses with tools from stochastic dynamics and nonlinear dynamics.

At the moment I focus mostly on the following topics:

  • RNA translation and the Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (TASEP).
  • A coupled stochastic and deterministic model for chronic myeloid leukemia.
  • The dynamics of telomere shortening on the stem cell level.
  • Interactions of various cancer cell phenotypes modeled as an evolutionary game.
