Welcome

I am a Postdoc in the Department for Evolutionary Theory, which belongs to the Max-Planck-Institute for Evolutionary Biology located in Plön, North Germany.

Trained as an informatician in my bachelor studies, I worked as a volunteer in Beijing Zoo for animal welfare for some years. This experience led to my interest for animal behavior and ecology, and I obtained a master degree in ecology where I did field work in birds and asian elephant. Through my master courses I got interested by evolutionary theory, and after that I did a PhD in theoretical biology. I am generally interested in modeling various biological systems especially in an evolutionary context. Please see my research and publications for more details.
