Research Interests

My broad interests include the coevolution observed in plant-pathogen systems and the role it plays in shaping the associated microbial communities. I am currently writing my master’s thesis on the underlying genetic factors responsible for host-specificity in Zymoseptoria spp. My goal is to implement comparative genomics on individuals isolated from wheat and Aegilops plant hosts to infer the origin of new accessory chromosomes.
